The third grade staff consists of six teachers with a wide range of teaching experience as well as ESL, Bilingual, and Gifted & Talented certifications. Because of this wide range of experience, this staff makes one of the best teams in the district.

Third grade teachers want children to value themselves and others as important people who feel good about themselves, and to experience learning in a positive way.

The year-long theme is Communities.

The instructional goals are :

• to have each child reading on grade level by the end of the year

• to have each child understand all necessary concepts to prepare that child to be a successful learner.
